Tibbits Opera House

The community of Coldwater, Michigan has always loved their 1882 Tibbits Opera House and were eventually able to completely restore the original façade.

The two-year project began when we removed the bricks from an earlier restoration to expose the original façade. We meticulously restored the original masonry, including 100% lime mortar repointing, rebuilding, and repairing. We fabricated and installed all new copper architectural sheet metal painted to the original colors; copper was chosen for longevity and workability. All new locally-made custom wood windows and doors were installed to match the original design, with some additional modern features.
