Westminster Church

The congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church is as committed to serving in its downtown home as it is to preserving their beautiful building. In two phases over the course of 4 years, we replaced all of the slate and sheet metal on the spire and main roof.

By using high-resolution scanning from the ground before the scaffolding was erected, we were able to measure and build the sheet metal elements early, so they would be ready for installation in coordination with the slate. The weight of the slate also required that the main wood roof trusses – which are exposed in the sanctuary – be reinforced. This roof system is designed to take this congregation into the next century.
