Century Club

Muskegon, Michigan

From 1893 to 1991, the Century Club played a major role in the social life of Muskegon. Left neglected for a few years, it has now been restored to house a fine furniture store and is one of the anchors of a revitalized downtown Muskegon.

The particular challenges included very soft and porous brick that were completely repointed with lime mortar, duplication of ornate sheet metal elements, and the installation of a new slate roof.
