Clark Memorial Hall Balcony

Built in 1888, in the Second Empire style by the Independent Order of Oddfellows (IOOF), Clark Memorial Hall is one of the more prominent architectural achievements still standing in historic downtown Adrian, Michigan.

In November of 2021, the existing sheet metal balcony was assessed for much needed repairs. It was evident that spot repairs were no longer going to be sufficient to keep the balcony structurally sound. A replica was needed.

The original balcony was carefully removed from the building and transported back to our shop in Grand Rapids. Precise measurements were taken, and all ornamental stampings removed so they could be replicated to the exact design and dimensions of the original piece.

The new balcony was made of copper and built to the exact design and dimensions of the original. All joints were soldered. Delivery and installation of the new balcony was completed and it will eventually be painted.
